Docs

Write documents in your browser: headings, fonts (Hindi too), lists, tables, pictures, links and find and replace. Export PDF, HTML, text or Markdown. Free, private, saved only on your device.

How it works

  1. Start typing, or open a .txt, .md or .html file. Use the toolbar for headings, fonts, colours, lists, links, pictures and tables.
  2. Your document saves on this device as you type. Use Find to search and replace words.
  3. Export as PDF (through the print window), HTML, plain text or Markdown.

Questions

Is my document uploaded anywhere?

No. It is written and saved inside your browser on this device only. Nobody else can open it unless you export and send the file.

How do I get a PDF?

Open Export and choose Save as PDF. The browser print window opens: pick "Save as PDF" as the printer and press Save.

Can I save a Word (.docx) file?

Not yet. Export HTML or PDF, or copy the text. Word files are planned for a later version.

Does it work with Hindi?

Yes. Type with your phone or computer keyboard. For a Devanagari look pick Noto Sans Devanagari, Hind or Mukta in the font list (the font must be installed or available on your device).

Can two people edit together?

No. There is no account or server, so one document lives on one device. Share by exporting.
